A new Aston Martin DB5 Convertible auction has been announced today to take place on 25th September, organized by Historics at Brooklands. The Aston Martin DB5 Convertible is an extremely rare factory-fitted hardtop that was built in only 123 units. At the time of its launch, the Aston Martin DB5 Convertible was priced at 4,562 GBP but now, it's expected to fetch at least 450,000 GBP. In addition to being built in such a small number, only a few of the Aston Martin DB5 Convertible remain complete with the steel hardtop in its original condition.
The Aston Martin DB5 Convertible was owned by two people before and it was an original order.
The Aston Martin DB5 Convertible on auction has
the DB5C/1275/R chassis number and comes with a white exterior paint job, red hide, matching red mohair hood and has just over 100,000 miles on the clock. Over the years, this particular Aston Martin DB5 Convertible had two engine rebuilds, in 1975 and 1986.
