The first rumors of BMW testing an M3 pickup version on the Nurburgring started surfacing last week. Today we get to see the BMW M3 pickup on video for the first time. There are various speculations on this M3 pickup, most of them indicating towards an April Fool's Day joke from BMW. Others say it's being used to for transporting parts on the German race track, or for picking up parts left along the track by not very talented drivers.
However, BMW confirmed today that the BMW M3 pickup is in fact a joke, and that it will be presented on April 1st, along side the concept of the new M5, at a special event in Munchen.
Apart from the pickup, the premiere of the
2012 BMW M5 concept will also host a range of other M3 versions that never made it into production.
