Aston Martin announced today that they will premiere the DBS Carbon Edition at this year's Frankfurt auto show. The "Carbon" edition is something the people over at Aston Martin seem to enjoy a lot. The company launched two similar special editions back in 2009: the DBS and V12 Vantage Carbon Black. The new Aston Martin DBS Carbon will be available in several colors, not just black, which include Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey. The new DBS Carbon features a unique exterior paint job, featuring 7 layers of paint which are hand-polished for 25 hours until they get to a glass veneer finish.

The Aston DBS Carbon has several distinctive features, including a set of 10-spoke gloss black diamond turned wheels, black brake calipers,

which will also be available in yellow, orange, red and grey. The dark theme of the DBS Carbon is continued at the exterior with black grille, carbon fiber mirror heads, carbon rear lamp in-fills and darkened rear lights.

At the interior, the DBS Carbon features an orange (or black) leather upholstery, which requires 70 hours of manual stitching and finishing. The Aston Martin DBS special edition also features various interior trim parts made from carbon fiber, magnesium alloy shift paddles, engraved sill plates,

and a Garmin satellite navigation system.

The Aston Martin DBS Carbon price list starts at £186,582 (€257,912/$287,576) for the coupe and £196,581 (€272,913/$302,576) for the Volante (convertible). Aston will put the new DBS Carbon on sale from the first quarter of 2012.
