The NY Daily News has announced on Sunday that a camouflaged BMW X3 Prototype has triggered a bomb panic in NY as it was discovered outside the American Museum of Natural History. Apparently, the guys testing the BMW X3 Prototype parked and left it with the engine running. This triggered a whole range of events which eventually involved the bomb squad. The Police smashed the rear window of the BMW X3 Prototype which was at the root of this false bomb alarm.
The "boneheaded driver" of the BMW X3 Prototype, as the paper calls him, left the car running as he was enjoying a nice afternoon in Central Park. After the Police solved the false bomb alarm, the driver explained he was testing the car. Which test was that? How fast the new BMW X3 can call the bomb squad?
We're not sure whether or not the BMW driver was charged, but we guess he received a little slap on the wrist.
