You have probably seen tons of racing videos, and you have probably seen in some of them a strange foot work. The driver is stepping on the gas with his heel while changing gears or braking when entering a curve. Now...why does he do that?
Well... when you brake, your revs fall, so you loose power. This is done so you don't loose any power in a braking or changing gear situation.
