BorgWarner announced today that the new Hyundai ix35 and the Kia Sportage will both get a BorgWarner turbo. Both the Hyundai ix35 and the Kia Sportage will be equipped with the fourth-generation VTG BorgWarner turbocharger that improves the performance of the engine, while reducing the CO2 emissions and the fuel consumption.
The Hyundai ix35 equipped with the BorgWarner turbo develops 136 hp and 320 Nm of torque at 1,800 rpm with a 5.8 liters of diesel fuel per 100 km (41 mpg) fuel consumption.
The Kia Sportage powered by a 2.0-liter engine and a BorgWarner turbo develops 304 Nm of torque at 1,800 rpm.
