Yesterday, Dr Ulrich Bez, Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin, announced that the Lagonda name comes back. As he stated, the Lagonda marque will allow the company to build cars which can have a different character than a sportscar. The Lagonda brand will have a unique design language that will incorporate elements from the past.
Dr Ulrich believes the company will be able to present the first new Lagonda concept by the time of the brand's centenary next year. The first Lagonda is set to enter the market in 2012.
With the occasion of the announcement of the Lagonda revival, Aston Martin's CEO also confirmed launch the four door Rapide sportscar next year, followed by the 'one 77' project.
