MINI Clubman from Concept to Reality

 »  »  »

The MINI Clubman was presented for the first time as a concept at the International Motor Show in Geneva in 2006 and it became a reality last year in the fall. Since the launch the MINI Clubman managed to obtain 23% of the total sales of the MINI brand. The MINI Clubman Concept from Geneva attacked the traditional design concepts and translated them to the requirements of the present. It showed new opportunities for the body, the design and the functionality of the MINI.

Particularly striking is the innovative door concept that revolutionized the development and use of the vehicle's interior.

At the rear of the MINI Clubman the designers

used a split-door approach based on the traditional door-arrangement of the classic Morris Mini Traveller and Austin Mini Countryman from the 1960s.
