Various websites reported today that European Mazda's boss, James Muir, declared that a Mazda RWD SUV is bound to premiere at next year's Paris Motor Show. The small Mazda RWD SUV will be based on the RWD Mazda MX-5 platform.
James Muir said that he believes the SUVs will get smaller and will behave more like a compact. He also stated that Mazda is working intensively on light-weight materials and a small Mazda RWD SUV might be the perfect way to put them to the test.
According to the European Mazda is also researching a way to build lighter diesel engines.
