Mercedes is said to unveil a new concept car at this years Frankfurt Motor Show: the Mercedes F700. The Mercedes F700 will be a large luxury car powered by the new Mercedes DiesOtto power plant.
The Mercedes F700 engine will be a 1.8 liter four cylinder turbocharged engine that combines diesel and petrol technology. The engine uses a combination of diesel automatic ignition and petrol spark plug for start-up and under heavy acceleration. The Mercedes F700 DiesOtto engine will produce around 235 hp.
Mercedes said the DiesOtto engine can also go intro the Mercedes S-Class, so the F700 might well be the next generation luxury saloon.
