Mercedes-Benz gives a new face to their smallest SUV / crossover - the GLK. Apart from the new face, the "kleine" GL gets an updated interior, more efficient engines, and new assistance / safety systems. Let's start with the exterior design. The headlights, which now integrate LED DRLs, the front grille, the front and rear aprons, and the rear lights, have all been redesigned. Mercedes is trying to transform the new GLK (2013) into a little offroader. They say it has "ATV-specific features such as approach and departure angle and ground clearance". Unfortunately, they forgot to mention the figures. The new features of the Mercedes GLK (2013) also include aerodynamically optimized 17-inch wheels, which should save you a little bit of fuel in the long run.

The AMG Sports package for the 2013 Mercedes GLK includes different aprons, distinctive LED daytime driving lights, 19-inch alloys, and a sportier suspension setup.

The interior of the new GLK (2013) is the usual leather / wood / aluminum business. For the new 2013 GLK, Mercedes offers LED ambient lighting, and a DIRECT SELECT lever for the models equipped with the 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Merc's Interior Sports package for the 2013 GLK offers a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel covered in nappa leather, sports seats upholstered with black ARTICO leather, and stainless steel sport pedals.

In terms of engines, Mercedes has gone all-diesel with the new GLK (2013), offering just single petrol version. The 2013 Mercedes GLK 350 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY comes with a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine, developing 306 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The 2013 GLK 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC is equipped with one of the most powerful 4-cylinder diesel engines, with an output of 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The new Mercedes GLK (2013) will also be available as the GLK 200 CDI (143 hp / 350 Nm), the GLK 220 CDI (170 hp / 400 Nm), and the GLK 350 CDI (265 hp / 620 Nm).

In terms of equipment, the new GLK (2013) comes with everything Mercedes has to offer, including a few new features. The 2013 GLK's COMAND Online multimedia system now includes a TV tuner for digital TV reception (DVB-T) and a 360° camera for better maneuverability.

So far, Mercedes did not announce the price of the new GLK (2013), but they did mention it will go on sale this summer. The full details, specifications and equipment lists are available here.
