The latest rumor regarding the new Mini Crossover says it will be named the Countryman. Apparently, BMW has taken a trademark for the Countryman name and the word fits perfectly into the brands naming scheme: Mini Clubman - Mini Countryman. we're wondering what's next.
The Mini Countryman made its public debut in concept form in September last year and its production version is expected at the Frankfurt IAA show this fall. The Mini Countryman will probably go on sale next year as a 2011 model.
The Mini Countryman was not officially confirmed by BMW officials, but as long as the company now has a trademark on it, it's very possible this will be the name of the new crossover.
