The first info on the next Lamborghini Murcielago has surfaced today. Unfortunately we don't have a name yet. According to the British press, the next Lamborghini Murcielago will have an Audi developed aluminum spaceframe chassis over which they'll fit a carbon fiber body. This construction solution will give the next Lamborghini Murcielago a lower weight than the current version which will probably result in better handling.
In terms of design, the next Lamborghini Murcielago will have a re-styled nose, while the rear end will feature a lower exhaust pipe and LED tail lights.
The rumors say the new model will be powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine that will output around 700 hp. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of the next generation Lamborghini Murcielago is expected to fall in the 3 seconds range.
The new version is expected to hit the streets sometime in 2012.
