Porsche updates the popular Cayenne GTS for the 2013 model year. The new Porsche Cayenne GTS (2013) will continue to fall between the S and the Turbo versions of the SUV, in terms of pricing and performance. Porsche's 2013 Cayenne GTS continues to be powered by the 4.8-liter V8 engine, which outputs 420 hp (309 kW). This is 15 hp more than the first generation of the Cayenne GTS. Apart from the extra horsepower, the new Cayenne GTS (2013) also features several other technological novelties. The high-performance SUV comes equipped with the eight-speed Tip-tronic S transmission, and Start/Stop technology, which helps improve its fuel economy.
The 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS is rated with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 5.7 seconds and with a top speed of 162mph (261 km/h).
Porsche says that the new Cayenne GTS (2013) can get from 0 to 100 mph (160 km/h) in just 13.3 seconds, which is quite an achievement for a car this size. The 2013 Cayenne GTS is rated with a NEDC combined fuel consumption of 26.4mpg (10.7 liters per 100 kilometers).
The distinctive features of the new Porsche Cayenne GTS (2013) include the same front fascia as the Turbo, wider side skirts and wheel arches, and a new rear roof spoiler. At the interior, the 2013 Cayenne GTS is equipped with sport seats, Alcantara styling elements, and a SportDesign steering wheel with paddle-shifters.
The Bi-Xenon headlights and the four-tailpipe exhaust system are offered as standard.
If you're looking for a better handling alternative for the Porsche S, the 2013 GTS might be exactly what you need. Porsche gave the new Cayenne GTS (2013) a 24-mm lowered suspension in comparison to the S. The SUV comes with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) systems.
The 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS's price for the UK market is set at £67,147. For the rest of Europe, its base price is set at 90,774 EUR. The new GTS will go on sale in Europe this July. Porsche did not mention the price and availability of the 2013 Cayenne GTS on the USA market.
