STaSIS Audi S5 Cabrio Challenge

STaSIS Engineering, a North American tuning company, launched today the special edition Audi S5 Cabrio Challenge, which comes with extra horsepower and some interesting looks. STaSIS equips the 3.0-litre supercharged engine of the Audi S5 Cabriolet with a re-mapped ECU and a new Quad outlet T304 stainless steel exhausts system, with laser engraved tips. The result is an output of 410 bhp and 370 lb.ft of torque. The factory version of the S5 Cabrio develops 333 bhp and 344 lb.ft of torque. With the extra umpf, the STaSIS Audi S5 Cabrio Challenge Edition is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the standard car.

STaSIS Engineering's kit for the S5 Cabriolet is

not just about power, but also handling. The S5 receives a set of Ohlins SL dampers with double digressive damping, and increased spring rate and adjustable height. The result is that the STaSIS Audi S5 Cabrio Challenge is able to pull up to 1.00 G in lateral acceleration, while the standard car can 'only' do 0.86 G.

For increased stopping power, the STaSIS S5 Cabriolet Challenge features a set of Alcon 6-piston monobloc brake calipers, with 370mm two piece floating discs on the front, high performance brake

pads, and braided stainless steel brake lines.

The STaSIS Audi S5 Cabrio Challenge also includes a two-tone paint scheme, together with a set of 10.5 x 20 inch ultra-lightweight forged aluminum wheels.

At this point, STaSIS did not announce the price for their Audi S5 Cabrio Challenge program.
