In a short press release, Spyker announced today that it has changed its name to simply Swedish Automobile. At the annual general meeting of shareholders on 19 May 2011, company officials decided that Spyker Cars N.V. will have its articles of association amended on 15 June 2011. This means that from June 15th Spyker will be replaced by Swedish Automobile N.V. The same name will be used for listing the company, while its ticker symbol changes to SWAN.

Spyker did not disclose the reasons behind this name change, and in our opinion, the company's current name is much more suited to their business.

Spyker is a low volume, highly exclusive Swedish

car manufacturer, that recently purchased Saab. some of their models include the Spyker C8 Aileron and the Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder.
