Volkswagen sues Lamborghini Orange County

 »  »  »

Lamborghini Orange County was formerly the largest dealership for the Italian supercars, but it closed in November 2008. Now the reasons behind this closure are starting to surface and recently released court documents. According to these documents, Volkswagen sues Lamborghini Orange County and it's owners, the Keuylian family, for stealing close to 12 million USD in cars. It seems that Lamborghini O.C. sold 54 cars in 8 days at very low prices and failed to pay its creditors. The 54 Lamborghini units were paid in advance through Volkswagen Credit, which leaves VW to pay for the loss.

What's interesting is that Volkswagen didn't start asking questions after Lamborghini Orange County moved around 7 cars a day for more than a week.

Volkswagen is not the only one suing Lamborghini Orange County for money, as other companies are doing the same for, more or less, the same reason.
