Lexus launched the 2008 Lexus LX 570 in Australia at the AIMS (Australian International Motor Show). The Australian 2008 Lexus LX 570 will have 100 hp more than the existing Lx 470. The 2008 Lexus LX 570 will be powered by a 5.7 liter V8 engine developing 270 kW.

LEXUS REVEALS ALL-NEW LX 570
Lexus has unveiled its all-new LX 570 luxury off-roader which is due to arrive in Australia in the first quarter of 2008.
The third-generation LX will feature new safety
features, driving aides and significantly increased performance over the previous generation LX.
New LX 570 will have 10 airbags as standard, with the addition of driver and front-passenger knee airbags, second-row seat-mounted side airbags and third-row curtains.
It will be the first Lexus vehicle to offer a new Wide-view Front and Side Monitor system.
The monitor allows the driver to identify potential objects that may be obscured from view by providing a clear view of the front and passenger side of the vehicle.
Lexus' new Crawl Control system helps the driver to concentrate on maneuvering over rough or difficult surfaces at low speeds.
Complemented by Four-wheel Electro-Hydraulic Suspension with Adaptive Variable Suspension and Active Height Control (AHC), the system delivers a greater range of adjustment than the previous-generation LX.
Active Height Control ensures that there is always a tire in contact with the road surface - resulting in a substantial reduction in body roll.
The three systems work together to ensure that the vehicle negotiates the roughest terrain with ease.
LX 570 will also feature a 5.7-litre V8 engine, which is expected to produce 270kW of power -
approximately 100kW more than the existing LX 470.
LX 570 has all-new multi-terrain ABS to help reduce stopping distances on slippery surfaces such as sand or gravel.
Lexus chief executive John Roca says LX 570 will offer the greatest luxury off-road experience.
