The facelifted 2013 Lexus LX 570 was unveiled last week, during the opening of the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Today Lexus is already announcing its price, as the 2013 LX 570 prepares to go on sale next month. The 2013 Lexus LX570 comes with updated interior and exterior styling, and a revised engine. At the exterior, the 2013 LX570 comes with new bumpers, LED daytime running lights integrated into the new headlights, and new taillights. The interior of the 2013 LX570 also features several updates. The driver's seat is equipped with Lexus's Easy Access system, which makes it, together with the steering wheel, retract when the ignition is turned off.

Lexus also updated the 2013 LX570's instrument panel, which now has a color display, together with new styling elements.

As any true 4x4, the 2013 Lexus LX 570 comes with an advanced suspension system. It has an independent double-wishbone front suspension and a four-link trailing-arm rear suspension. The SUV can be lowered with the help of its Active Height Control system (AHC). The AHC is able to lower the 2013 LX 570 at high speeds, and to raise it when the transmission is shifted into low range.

The new LX 570 is also equipped with the Adaptive Variable Suspension system, which offers three settings: comfort, normal and sport. ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) are also on the new LX570's equipment list.

The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine, with an output of 383 hp at 5,600 rpm and 403 lb.-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm. Lexus says that the 2013 LX 570 has a maximum towing capacity of 7,000 lbs. This, coupled with its 25-dergee departure angle and 23-degree break over angle, makes the 2013 LX 570 a good candidate in case you're looking or a capable workhorse. The Lexus LX 570 2013 comes with an electronically-controlled six-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system. Its TORSEN limited-slip locking center differential has a 40:60 power distribution ratio. Lexus equips the new LX570 with several systems meant to make life at the wheel a little bit easier. These include the Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), the Crawl Control, and the Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).

The 2013 LX 570 comes with a long list of standard and optional equipment, which is available here.

The 2013 Lexus LX 570 price list for the USA market starts at $80,930 USD MSRP, which doesn't include the $875 processing and handling fee. This means that the 2013 LX570 costs $1,475 more than its predecessor does. As an optional extra, the LX 570 can be equipped with the Luxury Package, which is priced at $1,510 USD. It includes, among others, a cool box, a semi-aniline leather-trimmed upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated second-row of seats. For $2,005 USD extra, Lexus can equip your new 2013 LX 570 with a dual screen rear-seat entertainment system. It includes wireless headphones and a three-prong electrical outlet.
