The 2013 Lexus GS 250 was revealed today, ahead oh its global premiere, which will take place at the 2011 Guangzhou motor show. The Lexus GS 250 will go on sale in June 2012, but its price is a closely guarded secret at the moment. At the exterior, the GS250 is not that much different in comparison to the rest of the model's versions. It has the same exterior dimensions and the same 566 l luggage compartment.

The power comes from a 2.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine, which outputs 206 bhp (154 kW) at 6,400rpm and 253 Nm of torque at 4,800rpm. The engine of the Lexus GS250 comes equipped with Dual VVT-i technology with D-4S direct port injection, and it's mated to a 6-speed sequential-shift, intelligent Electronically Controlled (ECT-i) automatic gearbox.

The Lexus GS 250 is rated with a top speed of 142 mph, a fuel consumption of 31.7mpg in the combined cycle and a 207 g/km CO2 emissions level. According to Lexus, the new GS250 is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 8.6 seconds.

The new transmission of the GS250 offers several driving modes, through the Drive Mode Select System. These modes include the following settings: Eco, Normal and Sport S. If you order your GS250 with the optional Adaptive Variable Suspension, you'll also get the Sport S+ driving mode, which offers better handling and faster cornering speeds.



The equipment list of Lexus's new GS 250 includes a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, an S-flow air conditioning system with air purifying technology and Mark Levinson audio system with up to 17 speakers. In terms of safety, Lexus equips the Gs 250 with its Pre-Crash Safety system, the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management, the Lane Keep Assist, the Blind Spot Monitor system and their Night Vision system.
