Video: Lexus LFA Roadster Drifting

 »  »  »

The Lexus LFA Roadster concept was premiered at the 2008 North American International Auto Show. Since then there have been various rumors saying both that it will never go into production, and that it will soon hit the showroom floor. Today we have confirmation that the Lexus LFA Roadster is ready for production. A prototype was caught on camera at a drifting event, which seems to have taken place in Japan. Not only that the LFA Roadster makes an unexpected guest appearance at the event, but it also performs a few drifting maneuvers. Careful not the scratch it!

The LFA Roadster is probably powered by the same 4.8 liter V10 engine that's also under the hood of the coupe.

This means that the Lexus LFA Roadster will have an output of 552 bhp and 480 Nm of torque. If the engineers manage to keep the weight of the LFA Roadster down, it will rocket from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. It will probably hit a top speed of 325km/h (202 mph).

We'll have more information about the Lexus LFA Roadster at a later date. Meanwhile, watch to some donuts in the video below.
