Kia has unveiled today the first official images and details of the new 2010 Kia Sorento. The 2010 Kia Sorento will be premiered at the Seoul Auto Show in April and is still wearing the XM codename. The 2010 Kia Sorento will be powered by the company's new R-diesel engine - a 2.2-liter engine that outputs 200 hp and offers a 7 liter / 100 km fuel economy. With this engine, the 2010 Kia Sorento is compliant with the EURO 5 CO2 emissions standard.
Other engines in the 2010 Kia Sorento line-up include a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder and a 3.8 liter V6 engine. On its home market the 2010 Kia Sorento will also be available with a 2.7 liter LPI engine. The new model will offer the choice of a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2010 Kia Sorento is a little larger than the current model, but it has a shorter wheelbase of 2.700mm.
