UPDATE: Video of the test with the 2010 Lexus GX460
Lexus has announced today that the 2010 Lexus GX460 sales stopped. This comes as a result of a report, filed by 'Consumer Reports', that says the new model has a number o safety issues regarding its electronic stability control system. 'Consumer Reports' says during a test with the new 2010 Lexus GX460 the car slid out of control until the vehicle was almost sideways before the electronic stability control system kicked in.
Lexus says it has stopped the 2010 Lexus GX460 sales until they identify and correct the problem.
From Lexus: "At this time we have asked our dealers to temporarily suspend sales of the 2010 GX 460."
Lexus says it's currently testing the 2010 Lexus GX460 with the parameters of the Consumer Reports' test that went out of control.
Lexus also announced that it will provide a loaner car to every customer that has already purchased a 2010 Lexus GX460.
