The 2012 Audi A4 was premiered today, with the Ingolstadt manufacturer releasing the details of all its versions, including the sporty S4 / S4 Avant, the Avant estate version, and the all-terrain A4 Allroad. All versions of the 2012 Audi A4 / S4 feature a new exterior design, completed by an updated interior. Audi revised the overall dimensions of the model range, and upgraded its equipment levels.
The 2012 Audi A4 sedan and the 2012 Audi A4 Avant measure 4.70 meters (15.42 ft) in length, while the 2012 A4 Allroad and the 2012 S4 measure 4.72 meters (15.49 ft) in length. All versions of Audi's 2012 A4 range have a 2.81 meters (9.22 ft) wheelbase, and are 1.83 and 1.84 meters wide, respectively.
Depending on the version, the height of the 2012 Audi A4 range varies between 1.41 and 1.50 meters (4.63 and 4.92 ft).
The 2012 Audi A4's interior continues the premium tradition of the brand. The 2012 A4 / S4 will be sold with a choice between chrome, high-gloss and leather steering wheels; chrome leather and wood styling accents; and a wide range of colors. The 2012 A4's MMI navigation plus system is updated and now features four buttons instead of eight, for increased usability.
Audi also revised various other controls, so you'll be more focused on the driving part. Nappa leather is now offered instead of the previous Valcona leather.

- 1.8 TFSI - 88 kW (120 hp);
- 1.8 TFSI - 125 kW (170 hp) and 320 Nm (236.02 lb-ft) of torque, 5.6 liters per 100 km (42.0 US mpg), or 134 grams CO2 per km (215.65 g/mile);
- 2.0 TFSI - 155 kW (211 hp);
- 3.0 TFSI - 200 kW (272 hp);
The engine range of the 2012 Audi A4 range, including the 2012 A4 Avant and the 2012 A4 Allroad features several technological innovations. They feature a new centrifugal pendulum-type absorber and a dual-mass flywheel, which are accountable for a 0.2 liters per 100 km reduction in fuel consumption.
The standard transmission on the 2012 Audi A4 sedan and Avant is a six-speed manual, which sends the power to the front wheels only. Audi's 2012 A4 quattro (all-wheel-drive) is available with either a manual, or a seven-speed S tronic gearbox. The 2012 A4 Allroad is equipped with the quattro AWD system by standard.

In terms of safety, the 2012 Audi A4 / S4 model range features the adaptive cruise control assistance system, active lane assist, side and blind spot assist. For entertainment purposes, Audi is offering the MMI navigation plus with a large hard disk, a monitor, 3D graphics and a DVD player.

The 2012 Audi S4 is powered by a 3.0 TFSI engine developing 245 kW (333 hp) and 440 Nm (324.53 lb-ft) torque.
