Audi revealed today the new generation, 2016, A4 and its station wagon versions, the 2016 A4 Avant. In comparison to their predecessor, both the 2016 Audi A4 and the 2016 Audi A4 Avant come with more generous dimensions. They have a 12 mm longer wheelbase and they are 25 mm longer, and 16 mm wider. This means that the 2016 Audi A4 measures 4.73 meters in length, 1.84 meters in width and 1.43 meters in height. The new Audi A4 (2016) comes with a 2.82-meter long wheelbase. With the 2016 version, Audi improved the drag coefficient of the A4 and of the A4 Avant. The 2015 Audi A4 comes with Cd 0.23, while the Avant comes with Cd 0.26. This improves their fuel efficiency and reduce their CO2 emissions. The 2016 Audi A4 is also lighter than its predecessor.
Audi says that, depending on the version, the 2016 A4 is up to 120 kg (264.6 lb) lighter.
If its luggage space you're looking for, the 2016 A4 Avant offers 505 liters, of it. If you fold down its rear bench you get up to 1,510 liters of boot space. Audi's 2016 A4 and A4 Avant now come with a sensor-controlled system for opening of luggage compartment. Audi equips the 2016 A4 with a 12.3-inch LCD information screen and an 8.3-inch monitor for the MMI interface. There's also a high-speed LTE network for connecting the 2016 A4 to the Internet, as well as a WiFi hotspot.
Optionally, you can equip the 2016 Audi A4 with LED headlights and matrix LED headlights, a head-up display and a virtual cockpit.
2016 Audi A4 and A4 Avant Engines:

best figures: just 3.7 liters of diesel per 100 km (63.6 US mpg) and 95 grams of
CO2 per kilometer (152.9 grams per mile)

- Economical 1.4 TFSI with 4.9 liters per 100 km (48.0 US mpg) and 114 grams
CO2 per km (183.5 g/mi)
- New 2.0 TFSI ultra with 140 kW with newly developed combustion method and
just 4.8 liters of gasoline per 100 km (49.0 US mpg) and 109 grams of CO2 per
km (175.4 g/mi)
- A4 Avant g-tron – can operate on sustainable produced Audi e-gas.
Audi is going to sell the 2016 A4 and the 2016 A4 Avant with a choice between an S tronic, a tiptronic and a manual transmission. As you can imagine, there are going to be two versions of the new A4 (2016), with front-wheel-drive and Quattro all-wheel-drive.
As far as safety and driver assistance systems go, the 2016 Audi A4 is going to be available with Stop&Go adaptive cruise control including traffic-jam assist, predictive efficiency assistant for even lower fuel consumption, active lane assist and side assist, parking assist, rear cross-traffic assist, exit warning, turn assist, collision avoidance assist and camera-based traffic-sign recognition, and pre sense city, basic and rear.
