Honda released today the details and images of the facelifted 2012 Fit Sport, called Jazz on some markets. In terms of design, the 2012 Honda Fit Sport comes with a re-styled front bumper, a new rear apron with what looks to be an integrated diffuser, and darkened headlights. The 2012 Fit / Jazz Sport also features new 16 inch light alloy wheels with a distinctive look.

At the interior, the 2012 Honda Fit Sport comes with dark metallic dashboard components, chrome accents on the instrument panel, a new center console with ambient lighting, and thicker sound insulation. The glass of the front corner-window is also thicker.

The equipment list of the Fit Sport 2012 includes

standard steering wheel-mounted audio controls, the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition, and Bluetooth HandsFreeLink.

To power, the 2012 Fit Sport, Honda uses a 1.5-liter, i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine, with an output of 117 hp at 6,600 rpm and 106 lb-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm, mated to either a five-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual gearbox. The EPA fuel economy of the 2012 Fit Sport is rated at 27/33/30 mpg on the city/highway/combined when equipped with the automatic gearbox and at 27/33/29



mpg when equipped with the manual one.

For safety, Honda's 2012 Fit Sport comes with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and 10.3-inch ventilated brake discs.

Honda will announce the price list of the 2012 Fit / Jazz Sport at a later date.
