New details of the next generation 2012 Saab 93 have been revealed over the weekend. The 2012 Saab 93 is expected to hit the market towards the end of 2012 and apparently, the brand's new owners are looking to put it against the new Audi A3. The 2012 Saab 93 is on an accelerate production schedule as the company needs a fresh source of cash to cope with the current international financial situation.

The 2012 Saab 93 will offer a new range of engines and the company's XWD (Cross Wheel Drive) system with a Haldex 4 clutch and a rear differential. The 2012 Saab 93 will also feature a limited-slip differential for the rear axle called an eLSD.

The 2012 Saab 93 will also benefit from the company's HiPer Strut suspension or High Performance Strut. The setup of the 2012 Saab 93 was developed by GM for the Epsilon project and promise to offer the same benefits as a double wishbone layout.

The exterior design of the 2012 Saab 93 will follow the same basic lines as the ones seen on today's 95 while the interior will have the same basic theme as the 95.

Since the next-gen 2012 Saab 93 is developed to go head-to-head with the Audi A3, its price should fall in the same category too. The 2012 Saab 93 is expected to be priced around the 18,000 GBP mark.
