The latest generation 2013 Lincoln MKS was unveiled at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. With a new exterior and interior design, and improved powertrains, Ford's 2013 Lincoln MKS hopes to bring a new dimension to the luxury sedan segment. In terms of exterior design, Lincoln's 2013 MKS features a new front fascia, with re-styled headlights and front grille, a new hood, new fog lights and a slightly modified bumper. The rear of the 2013 MKS shows new light clusters, and a modified boot lid. Lincoln says that they also modified the 2013 MKS' front fenders, and exhaust tips. The 2013 MKS is equipped with either 19- or 20-inch alloys.

The new features of the 2013 MKS' interior include the capacitive controls and the MyLincoln Touch.

The 2013 Lincoln MKS will be sold with a choice between a 3.7-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine, or a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. When powered by the 3.7-liter unit, the 2013 MKS outputs 300 hp at 6,500 rpm and 275 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm on 87-octane fuel. Lincoln has improved the efficiency of this engine, which now offers a 19-mpg city/28 mpg highway fuel consumption. This means that the 2013 MKS has improved its fuel economy on the highway by 3-mpg. The 2013 Lincoln MKS 3.5 EcoBoost develops 355 hp at 5,700 rpm and 350 lb.-ft. of torque between 1,500 and 5,250 rpm. The full specifications list of the 2013 Lincoln MKS can be accessed here.

The Lincoln MKS 2013 comes with a choice between two six-speed SelectShift Automatic gearboxes, both featuring steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The 3.5-liter version of the 2013 MKS comes with and all-wheel-drive system as standard. The AWD is an optional extra on the 3.7-liter model.

For the MKS 2013 model year, Lincoln is offering the Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) system as standard, which offers two driving modes: "Drive" and "Sport". The equipment list of the new MKS includes more powerful brakes, the Lincoln Drive Control system, the active park assist (APA) system, and the Lane Keeping System, which is new for the model. For improved safety and comfort, the 2013 MKS features Auto high-beam headlights, a Collision Warning system, BLIS, and adaptive cruise control (ACC).

The new MKS benefits from an extended SYNC functionality, which now includes as standard the Operator Assist and a local Wi-Fi hotspot.
