The first images of the new generation 2014 BMW X5 have leaked over the web today. BMW is expected to launch the new version of the SUV later this year, however, some of its details are available from today. Judging from these photos, the new BMW X5 (2014) is going to have a completely re-designed front fascia, with new headlights, a more aggressive front bumper and two fog lights located immediately below the headlights. Its hood has also been re-styled, as well as the trademark front grille. The rear of the 2014 X5 shows slightly modified tail lights as well as a new bumper and two trapezoidal exhaust pipes. So far, there no images of the 2014 BMW X5's interior. Some sources say that the new X5 (2014) is going to be offered with a third row of seats too, but this is just speculation at the moment.

The 2014 BMW X5 will be sold with several engine options, including a 2.0-liter diesel with 245 hp, a 3.0-liter diesel with 302 hp and a 4.4-liter V8 bi-turbo generating just over 400 hp. The BMW X5 hybrid is going to have a 3.0-liter twin-turbo petrol engine and an electric motor. This hybrid powertrain is expected to develop around 340 hp and 680 Nm of torque. The future BMW X5M will continue to be powered by the 4.4-liter V8 engine, that's expected to develop just under 550 hp.

We'll have more details regarding the 2014 BMW X5 as soon as they're available.
