Audi revealed today the revised 2015 A8L Security, which meets the VR7 ballistic protection standard. The 2015 Audi A8L Security is 5.27 meters (17.29 ft) long and with a 3.12 meter (10.24 ft) wheelbase, it looks almost identical to the regular version of the luxury saloon. Audi is going to sell the new 2015 A8L Security with a choice between two engines: the 4.0 TFSI (320 kW (435 hp) and 600 Nm (442.54 lb-ft) of torque between 1,500 and 5,000 rpm) and the naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter W12 engine (368 kW (500 hp) and 625 Nm of torque (460.98 lb-ft)). The 2015 Audi A8L Security 4.0 TFSI accelerates from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.5 seconds and it offers a fuel economy of 10.9 l/ 100 km (21.58 US mpg).

The 2015 A8L Security W12 needs 7.1 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) trip, it can reach a top speed of 210 km/h (130.49 mph) and it has a fuel consumption of 13.5 l/ 100 km (17.42 US mpg). Both versions of the new A8L Security (2015) come with the eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

Audi's armored 2015 A8L Security is equipped with Matrix LED technology. Audi says that the 2015 A8L Security meets the VR7 ballistic protection standard, but it some areas, it even complies with the VR9 and VR10 standards.
