Acura launched today a special edition version of their 2012 TSX sedan, which promises to be sportier than before thanks to various styling upgrades. The 2012 Acura TSX SE is based on the entry level of the sedan and it's powered by the K24 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. Acura is offering a choice between a close-ratio 6-speed manual or a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission for the 2012 TSX SE special edition. Acura's TSX SE comes with new aerodynamics, including a new front spoiler and bumper, and new side sills. Acura also places a "Special Edition" badge on the trunk of the TSX SE, to let everybody know it's not a regular model. The TSX SE sits on 17x7.5-inch, 5-spoke aluminum wheels.

For the interior of the TSX SE, Acura is offering new seats with perforated black Lux Suede inserts and red backing. Throughout the interior of the TSX SE, Acura's designers used red stitching on the seats, steering wheel and the shift knob. Red lighting is used for the instruments, overhead lighting and footwell lighting. In case you get yourself the automatic version of the TSX SE sedan, Acura will install steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The racy look of the Acura TSX SE is completed by aluminum pedals and a black headliner.

Acura did not announce the TSX SE price list, but the company does mention it will put it on sale late next month, after the special edition's debut at the Orange County International Auto Show on September 22nd.
