Last week rumors started to appear saying the Alfa MiTo GTA project has been cancelled. AutoExpress reveals the fact that this was just a speculation, and the Alfa MiTo GTA has NOT been cancelled. Alfa's new pocket rocket is still on course and is currently testing Balocco, Italy.
The Alfa MiTo GTA will arrive in the spring carrying a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine with a power output of 230 bhp. The manufacturer says the Alfa MiTo GTA will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than seven seconds with the help of a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The exterior look of the production Alfa MiTo GTA will be the same as the prototype presented at the Geneva auto show and it's interior will feature sport bucket seats and an overall racing feel.
