Alfa Romeo premiered the MiTo GTA at this year's Geneva Auto Show and now there's a rumor of a new performance version based on the Italian mini - the Alfa Romeo MiTo Veloce. The Alfa Romeo MiTo Veloce will be a lightweight version of the standard car powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine good for 180 hp. With this engine the Alfa Romeo MiTo Veloce is expected to hit 100 km/h from a standing start in 7.5 seconds.
The Alfa Romeo MiTo Veloce will receive new front and rear spoilers, a new set if side skirts and Koni shock absorbers.
The Alfa Romeo MiTo Veloce is expected to have its premiere at the 2009 AutoRAI motor show in the Netherlands.
