CAR Magazine published today the first official Aston Martin Rapide image that shows the final production version of the four-door saloon. The production version of the Aston Martin Rapide displays a few changes from the original concept including the absence of the secondary front air intakes, larger side mirrors and other styling details.

The Aston Martin Rapide was first presented in concept form at the Detroit Motor Show in 2006. Since then Aston Martin considered several companies for building the new Rapide, but in the end Magna Steyr received the contract. The Aston Martin Rapide will be manufactured at the company's plant in Graz, Austria.

The production of the Aston Martin Rapide will begin next year and the company expects to build more than 2000 units a year.
