Buick released today the first teaser image of the new Envision concept, which previews a future production SUV. Buick will premiere the new Envision concept SUV at the Auto Shanghai 2011 show on April 18th. Developed by Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), the Buick Envision concept shows various design elements inspired by the Chinese culture, which are integrated into a globally appealing design. What this tells us is that the Buick Envision is developed especially for the Chinese market, and that it will also be sold in various other markets.
Buick's Envision concept aims to show modern styling and contemporary sportiness, which offering a smooth and elegant exterior.

The concept of the Buick Envision is powered by a plug-in hybrid system, which previews the future of brand's technology. When it will go on sale, the Buick Envision might also get more conventional powertrains too.
