Buick premiered today in China the Envision concept, previewing a future SUV production model. Buick says the Envision combines the brand's general design language, with Chinese aesthetics, as it was developed by Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC).

The Buick Envision shows a coupe-like body, featuring the brand’s trademark front-end design with LED daytime running lights and the tri-colored shield insignia. Buick gives the Envision concept 22-inch doubled-layered aluminum alloy wheels which are covered in silicon sports tires with an asymmetrical unidirectional tread.

Buick's Envision concept incorporates all the

latest technology the company has to offer, such as the next-generation Bluetooth DUN Intelligent Internet system, an OLED touch-screen interface, and a Flex-touch central console. Apart from those, the Buick Envision also features all the trendy gizmos we see in the latest concepts, such as side mirrors replaced by micro-cameras, and a Heads-Up Display.

The Buick Envision is powered by a hybrid system, featuring a 2.0-liter SIDI intelligent direct injection turbocharged engine which works in conjunction with two electric motor generators.

The power of the Envision is sent to the wheels via a dual automatic/manual eight-speed transmission.
