Ferrari Lowers CO2 Emissions

Reuters reports that Ferrari plans to lower its models' fuel consumption by 40% by the year 2012 in order to meet the growing international pressure to reduce CO2 emissions. Amedeo Felisa, Ferrari General Manager said want to reduce the CO2 emissions from 400 g/km to 280 g/km - 300 g/km by the same year.

The EU (European Union) plans a set of laws that will limit the permitted CO2 emissions level for new cars at 120 g/km.

Back in June Ferrari presented the its first eco supercar concept - the Millechili - designed on the base of the Enzo, but much smaller. When discussing about the Millechili the Ferrari spokesman

said: "The world is changing, and Ferrari is changing too. The aim is to lose no performance, but to make lighter, more efficient cars."
