Recent reports say the Blue Oval has reached a settlement in a case involving a Ford Explorer rollover crash for the sum of no less than 131m USD. Brian Cole, a former baseball player which was going to play for the New York Mets, lost his life in a rollover accident while driving a Ford Explorer. Ford settled with the family of Brian Cole for the sum of 131 million USD. The crash took place back in 2001 and is just one of a number of other cases involving the same problem of the Explorer.

A court in Jackson, Mississippi is also considering punitive measurements against Ford, before the settlement can be closed.

On the other hand, Ford says it's not the fault

of the Explorer, as at the time of the rollover, 22-year-old Brian Cole was driving too fast and he was not wearing a seatbelt. Brian rolled his Ford Explorer on a highway in Florida which resulted in him being ejected from the car. He later died from his injuries.
