Ford Fiesta Red and Black Get 140 PS 1.0 Liter Engine

Ford revealed this week two special edition versions of the new Fiesta, which are called Red and Black. Both, the Red and Black, Ford Fiesta models are powered by a 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine that develops 140 hp. This is the most powerful version of the Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine. With this powertrain, both the Ford Fiesta Red and the Ford Fiesta Black can accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 9.0 seconds. They can reach a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h). According to Ford's official specifications, the Red and Black Fiestas offer a combined fuel consumption of 62.8 mpg (4.5 l/100 km) and a 104 g/km CO2 emissions level. The new 1.0-liter engine comes equipped with twin-independent Variable Cam Timing and high-pressure direct-injection.

The new special edition Ford Fiestas come with a two-tone exterior finish (Race Red with gloss black roof and detailing and Panther Black, with a gloss red roof and detailing). The equipment list of the Ford Fiesta Red and Black includes upper and lower grille surrounds, front bumper aerofoil and mirror caps. They also come with new bumpers, side skirts and a rear roof spoiler. For the interior of the Fiesta Black and Red Ford is offering gloss black center stack and door handles, black leather sports steering wheel and gear lever, and black floor mats.

The Ford Fiesta Red and Black go on sale in September, but their price has not been announced yet.
