General Motors unveiled today the latest version of the GMC Terrain Denali (2013), which comes with several improvements over the previous version of the small SUV. For starters, the 3.0-liter V6 engine of the previous version has been replaced in the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali by a larger 3.6-liter V6 with direct injection and continuously variable valve timing. The new engine outputs 301 hp (224 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 272 lb.-ft. (369 Nm) of torque at 4,800 rpm. The 2.4-liter engine continues to be available on the new GMC Terrain (2013). Thanks to a lighter integrated cylinder head/exhaust manifold and to a composite intake manifold, the 2013 GMC Terrain is 18.5 pounds lighter than its predecessor, which should save a little bit of fuel in the long run.

GM also updated the suspension of the GMC Terrain Denali (2013), which now features dual-flow dampers (they offer a smoother ride).

The distinctive design features of the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali include 18-inch wheels (2.4L) and 19-inch alloys (V6), various chromed parts, new lights, and dual chromed tailpipes. For the interior of the new Terrain Denali (2013), GMC is offering a soft-touch instrument panel, a leather steering wheel with mahogany wood inserts, the all-important illuminated sill plates, and various logos.

The 2013 GMC Terrain Denali's price list and availability will be announced at a later date.
