GMC introduced at this year's Los Angeles Autos Show the new 2017 Canyon Denali, which aims to be the world's first premium midsize pickup truck. The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali is going to be sold with a choice between two engines and with 2WD all 4WD. The 3.6L V6 version of the 2017 GMC Canyon Denali offers 7,000 pounds (3,175 kg) of maximum trailering and a 26 mpg EPA fuel consumption on the highway. The 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel version of the truck offers 7,700 pounds (3,493 kg) of maximum trailering and a 31 mpg highway fuel economy. The engines are mated to a Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed automatic transmission with a Centrifugal Pendulum Vibration Absorber in the torque converter to reduce powertrain noise and vibration.

The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali comes equipped with a chrome grille, 20-inch wheels, five-inch-diameter rectangular chrome assist steps, and a spray-in bed liner.

For the interior of the 2017 Canyon Denali, GMC chose a Jet Black Mulan leather upholstery, perforated, heated-and-ventilated front seats, OnStar 4G LTE connectivity with a Wi-Fi hotspot, automatic climate control, IntelliLink with Navigation and an 8-inch color touchscreen, a full-color driver information center and USB connectivity. The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali comes equipped as standard with Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning.

The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali's price and availability are going to be announced at a later date.
