The new 2014 GMC Sierra pick-up truck had its world debut today in Detroit at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. With the 2014 Sierra, GMC aimed at increasing the power and torque of the model range, as well as improving its efficiency. So, the new GMC Sierra (2014) comes with three new engine choices: a 4.3L V6 EcoTec3 (LV3), a 5.3L V8 EcoTec3 (L83) and a 6.2.L V8 EcoTec3. Unfortunately, at this point GMC did not disclose the horsepower output of these new powertrains. GMC's 2014 Sierra comes with a second-generation Active Fuel Management that enables it to run more smoothly in four-cylinder mode. The 2014 GMC Sierra is a light-duty pickup truck, which is going to be available with a choice between a 2WD and a four-wheel-drive system.

It's going to be available as a regular, extended and crew cab that's classified as an EPA full-size truck.

The new 2014 Sierra comes with a new cargo box that features four movable upper tie downs that can be placed in nine different locations and can bear a 500-pound (227 kg) load. Its cargo box also features LED lights, and an EZ Lift and Lower tailgate. There is also a new 6-foot, 6-inch box, besides the regular 5-foot, 8-inch box.

The interior equipment list of the 2014 GMC Sierra includes a 4.2-inch color Driver Information Center, a 110-volt outlet, up to five USB ports, four 12-volt outlets and an SD card slot. For increased safety, GMC equips the new Sierra (2014) with Forward Collision Alert and Land Departure Warning.

The 2014 GMC Sierra's price has not been announced yet. You can find a full description of the new Sierra (2014) pickup truck here.
