GMC released this week a teaser image of the 2015 Canyon, which is scheduled for debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, next week. Unfortunately, the 2015 GMC Canyon teaser image released by General Motors does not say anything about the new model. Apparently, GM's North American President, Mark Reuss said that the new GMC Canyon is going to be semi-serious duty cycle truck, whatever that means. Our sources say that the GMC Canyon is based on the Chevrolet Colorado. If this is the case, the Canyon could also borrow the Colorado's engine line-up. The Chevy Colorado is available with the following engines: a 2.5-liter petrol engine with 193 hp and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) from 2,000 rpm to 6,200 rpm, a 3.6-liter V6 developing 302 hp and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque, and a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel unit.
We'll have more details about the GMC Canyon as soon as they're available.
