Hamann BMW X6M Gets Carbon Kit

 »  »  »

Hamann first released their BMW X6M upgrade program back in February 2010, and at this year's Geneva auto show they showed an updated, carbon fiber version. Basically, the Hamann BMW X6M has received various carbon fiber aerodynamic parts, without any updates in the engine compartment. Hamann's new BMW X6M comes with a new front spoiler lip, rear diffuser, rear boot lid wing and roof wing, all made from carbon. The list continues with the rear lights surrounds, roof rails, side mirror casings and bonnet. Hamann's carbon fiber bonnet for the BMW X6M could reduce the overall weight of the car quite a bit. Less weight means improved performance of course.

Under the hood, the carbon version has the same upgrades as the previous Hamann BMW X6M model.

The standard engine's output is raised to 670 hp / 493 kW at 6,000 rpm and 950 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 5,650 rpm. With four-wheel-drive and this much power, Hamann's BMW X6M is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and up to a top speed of 300 km/h.

To be able to manage such speeds, the Hamann BMW X6M is fitted with MOVĀ“IT high performance brakes with 6 piston calipers and 420 x 40 millimeters discs at the front and 4 piston calipers and 380 x 32 millimeters discs at the rear.
