The Korean company's second world debut in Frankfurt will be the Hyundai i10 Electric. The Hyundai i10 Electric which will debut in Frankfurt is a production ready model with zero emissions that will go on sale on the company's home market in the second half of 2010.

The Hyundai i10 Electric is powered by a 49kW electric motor that's powered by a 16kWh battery. With this drivetrain, the Hyundai i10 Electric has a range of around 100 miles and a top speed of 80 mph.

The Hyundai i10 Electric can be re-charged in two ways: with a 220V household current which is slower or with a 415V industrial-strength current which is quicker. Under the quick cycle,

the battery can be recharged to within 85 percent of its capacity within 15 minutes. Under the normal cycle using a 220V household current, 100 percent power will be attained within five hours.
