Infiniti released today the specifications of the FX Sebastian Vettel special edition, which had its world debut today in Frankfurt. The official Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel specs list say that the new version of the SUV is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine which is good for 420 PS. Infiniti's FX Sebastian Vettel is able to reach a tops peed of 300 km/h and has a 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 5.6 seconds. To get the extra horsepower of out of the V8 engine, Infiniti had to give apply the tuner method. This includes a re-mapped ECU, a new exhaust system, and we bet a modified air intake system too.
For improved handling, the FX Sebastian Vettel features dual-flow path (DFP) dampers with continuous damping control (CDC), 4-piston
(front), 2-piston (rear) brake calipers and 355mm / 350mm brake discs. The FX Sebastian Vettel also has an ace up its sleeve - Rear Active Steering.
The Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel comes with a new aerodynamics package, which includes an Essence-inspired front grille, a carbon rear wing, splitter, sills, front grille, mirror covers and rear diffuser. Infiniti says that they managed to improve the drag coefficient of the car by 5%, and its lift coefficient by 30%. The 20 mm lowered ride height also had some involvement in that.
The FX Sebastian Vettel sits on 21-inch rims and comes with LED daytime running lights. At the interior it comes with various carbon styling accents, an Alcantara upholstery, and various logos.
The Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel is a one-off vehicle built especially for the Formula 1 Champion, so it's not for sale.
