Lamborghini revealed over the weekend the new Aventador LP 720-4 50 Anniversario to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. The Lamborghini Aventador Anniversario's price has not been disclosed yet, but the Italian carmaker says only 100 of them are going to be built, each wearing a Forged Composite badge with the "50" logo and a serial number. The Anniversario Aventador is powered by the same 6.5-liter V12 engine as the standard version of the supercar, but it has 20 hp more for a total of 720 hp. Thanks to a retuned engine and a faster ISR transmission, the Lambo Aventador Anniversario is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 350 km/h. Apart from the extra power, the Aventador Anniversario also features new aerodynamics and a unique exterior finish.
Lamborghini gave the Aventador Anniversario an extended front splitter, wider front air intakes, and small flaps on each side of the front bumper. At the rear, the Anniversario Aventador comes with a larger and more aggressive diffuser, and meshwork instead of the rear bumper, which helps better cool the engine compartment. Lamborghini says that the Anniversario is 50% more efficient aerodynamically than the regular Aventador LP 700-4.
The Lamborghini Aventador Anniversario comes with a two-tone exterior finish, in black and Giallo Maggio (May yellow), which was first used on the Miura. The wheels of the special edition supercar are painted in high-gloss black.
For the interior of the Aventador Anniversario, Lamborghini chose natural, semi-aniline leather, which is available in two colors: Nero Ade (black) combined with Terra Emilia (brown), or Giallo Quercus (yellow).
The Aventador Anniversario can also be fitted with the same carbon-fiber rear wing as the one used on the Gallardo Superleggera and a transparent engine cover.
