Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Leaked

Sometimes information regarding new model leaks from the most unexpected sources. The EPA, which is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published the official fuel consumption figures for the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. Apparently, they managed to test Lambo's 2012 Aventador Roadster before the manufacturer actually premiered it. According to the EPA, the Aventador Roadster will get 13 mpg in the combined cycle, 11 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway.

The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will be powered by the same 6.5-liter V12 engine coupled with the 7-speed automatic transmission. This means that the roadster version of the Aventador will output 700 hp and 690 Nm of torque.

Even though both versions have the same output, the Roadster might not match the performance figures of the coupe. This is caused by the added weight in the case of the open-top version. The Lamborghini Aventador coupe gets from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 350 km/h. The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will be all-wheel-drive and the EPA calls it a 'Gas Guzzler'.

So far, the EPA did not release any figures regarding the CO2 emissions of the Aventador Roadster.

We'll have more details on the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster as soon as the manufacturer, or a government agency, releases them.
