In last night's episode of Top Gear, Richard Hammond reviews the new Lamborghini Aventador, and his findings are quite interesting, to say the least. Also, the new Stig sets a Top Gear lap time in the Aventador, which manages to get pretty high on the show's chart. We won't tell you however, which one exactly this is. Why spoil all the fun?
The Aventador is Lamborghini's replacement for the Murcielago, which is supposed to bring the Italian supercar manufacturer into a new era. It was premiered at the beginning of this year and it's already on sale.
The Lamborghini Aventador is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine, which sends 700 mad Italian
horsepowers and 690 Nm of torque to the supercar's all four wheels. The Aventador has a 7 speed ISR transmission with a dry double plate clutch and offers incredibly fast shifting times.
Lamborghini's official specifications say that the Aventador is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and that it can reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h.
