Lotus Press Release:

Stanstead based Castle Lotus is taking a new and innovative approach to supporting charity this Christmas by teaming up with internet shopping portal TheGivingMachine™ to sell Lotus cars online.

Internet shopping is massively popular, and never more so than at Christmas so it’s refreshing to learn that there is a way of shopping online whilst contributing to your favourite school or charity.

Institute of Fundraising members TheGivingMachine™ (TGM) tap into the multi-billion pound online retail market by providing a very special incentive to shoppers. 100 leading retailers are accessible through TGM and each time a sale is made the merchant donates money for a school or charity of the purchaser’s choice.

A variety of Lotus are available and range from toy and model cars to the real thing! Castle Lotus and the TGM have an agreement that for each Lotus purchase by a TGM shopper a donation of 2.25% will be made to charity, and with on the road prices ranging from £24,500 to £45,000, that is a sizeable contribution!

Ian Cunningham of Castle Lotus said, “We’re delighted to be involved in this initiative to help the wider community. Christmas is about giving and we’re happy to donate 2.25% of the price of a Lotus bought via TheGivingMachine to good causes selected by our customers.”

Richard Morris, co-founder of TGM bought his own Lotus Elite from the sportscar dealer in Stansted and explained, “We’re seeing a huge explosion in online shopping and luxury purchases are no exception.

Selling a Lotus online is a great way to publicise TheGivingMachine and – as we operate a percentage donation system – high value products such as these could also raise a significant amount for UK charities and schools.”
